Former Jll Apac Ceo Anthony Couse Joins Elevate Capital Partner
Elevate Capital Group has recently announced that Anthony Couse will be joining their team as a partner. In a press release dated September 8, it was revealed that Couse, who previously served as the CEO for Asia Pacific (Apac) at JLL, will be working closely with Elevate’s founder and managing partner Ashish Manchharam. Couse’s role will be to accelerate the growth of the firm by strengthening partnerships with investors, expanding their portfolio through acquisitions, and enhancing asset management strategies.
Couse brings with him over 35 years of experience from his time at JLL. His most recent position at the company was as CEO for Apac, a role he held from 2016 until January 2025. Prior to that, he spent more than a decade as managing director for Eastern China and Shanghai, and also had a 12-year stint at JLL’s Hong Kong office.
Manchharam expressed his excitement about working with Couse, saying, “Anthony and I have had the privilege of working together over the years, and I have always admired his ability to navigate complex markets with clarity and conviction.”
Interestingly, both Manchharam and Couse have a shared history at JLL. Manchharam also began his career there, spending 12 years at the firm where he focused on investment deals and capital markets across Hong Kong, Singapore, and the wider region. In 2014, he left JLL and went on to found 8M Real Estate, a real estate investment firm. In 2023, he sold his stake in 8M Real Estate to Hong Kong-based Crane Capital.
In 2024, Manchharam founded Elevate in Singapore, a boutique real estate investment and asset management firm with a focus on “lifestyle-centric real estate investments.” In August of that year, Elevate made headlines when it acquired Stamford Court, a commercial building in Downtown Core, in a joint venture with PGIM Real Estate for $132 million. The property is currently undergoing repositioning and asset enhancement works, with plans to reopen in the first half of 2026.
